Help Us Pack and Move
Where: Mindful Hands Gallery
Guru Rinpoche Day (Shower of Blessings Tsog)
Friday November 23rd is moving day. Khenchen Tsewang Gyatso has asked us to do what we can to help Sally with Mindful Hands. Sally has asked us to be moved out by Thanksgiving to give her time and space to do what she needs to do. She's graciously let us stay a little bit longer to coordinate and schedule.
Logistics of parking and coordinating a move from a busy location in Alexandria leave us with few options. Its time to put out a call to all who are able to lift and tote to support not only PCD-DC but Mindful Hands as well to help us vacate a wonderful space. Please show up with boxes, blankets and vehicles Friday November 23rd to help us move at 9am in the morning from 211 King Street.
I'll have a storage space lined up (in nearby Springfield) for us to move what assets we can until we have place. I will work on having boxes and storage bins, we'll sort things as quickly as we're able. If you are able to store things in your homes it will help us reduce our storage fee and provide you with merit to support PCD-DC. Below is a list of things we'll need to move, i'm sure there's things i've forgotten.
Our hope is to find a space quickly to benefit all sentient beings and have a location for our shrine, but at this time we need to move.
I've saved the best part for last for those of you who've read this far. Friday November 23rd is Guru Rinpoche day. don't you love how this stuff all works together? Khenchen has asked us to continue to have tsogs as much as possible. I've just spoken with Janet Borges and she's agreed to host a Shower of Blessing tsog at her home at 7pm. Her address is 5005 Regency Place 22304.
I think in this time of transition hosting tsogs in sangha members homes will be a wonderful way to promote a sense of community. So, if you're still reading...
Please let me know if you can help move.
Have a wonderful day,
