Palyul Changchub Dargyeling relies on your financial support to bring
the Tibetan Nyingma tradition to our nation's capitol. With your help,
we can continue to rent our practice space, invite precious lamas, and
provide other resources such as meditation classes, religious
ceremonies, and tsog banquets. Additionally, your generosity supports
our growing library of books, literature, and recordings.

Palyul Changchub Dargyeling has prided itself for its low-key approach in asking for donations. We have decided to release that pride into the emptiness from which it came. Each year, your crucial financial gifts help cover our operating expenses. Please consider joining our sangha by becoming a member. | Tsog Offerings |
|
Palyul Changchub Dargyeling peforms a tsog on the tenth
and twenty-fifth days of the lunar calendar (Guru Rinpoche Day and
Dakini Day, respectively). We practice the One Hundred Deities sadhana
with tsog. A "tsog" is a ritual banquet supplied by offerings of the
participants. We typically bring offerings of flowers, finger foods,
and non-alcoholic beverages.

As it is said, in the second chapter of the Root Tantra
of Chakrasamvara: "If you wish for sublime realization, offer hundreds
of lights." Upon your donation, Palyul Changchub Dargeyling will place
a butter lamp on our altar as an example of the generosity associated
with your material offerings of light and oil.

|
| Shakyamuni Buddha mentioned the 10 benefits of offering lights:
One becomes like the light of the world.
One achieves clairvoyance of the pure eye as a human.
One achieves the Deva's eye.
One receives the wisdom to discriminate virtue from non-virtue.
One is able to eliminate the concept of inherent existence.
One receives the illumination of wisdom.
One is reborn as a human or deva.
One receives great enjoyment wealth.
One quickly becomes liberated.
One quickly attains enlightenment.

The first perfection is the Dāna paramita which is
generosity or the giving of oneself. You generous donations help to
empower our goal — which is to offer the community and sangha a chance
to practice, study, and discover the living Dharma within ourselves.

practice and in our lives.
